Matashree netralaya is upgraded with latest equipments such as pentacam, anterior segment oct, ubm and pachymetry to diagnose corneal ectatic disorders (such as keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, etc) and corneal dystrophies.
Pterygium surgery is undertaken with conjuctival autograft to minimise the recurrence rate and provide optimum result to patient.
Corneal transplantation
Corneal transplantation is done in patients with corneal blindness. Prior registration of corneal blind patients is done inorder to undertake procedure as soon as possible on the availability of cornea.
Lasik and other refractive procedures are also undertaken to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
In lasik, a thin flap in the cornea is created using either a microkeratome blade or femtosecond laser.

1. It works and is proven to correct vision in most cases.
2. LASIK laser eye surgery is associated with very little pain.
3. Vision is corrected almost immediately or by the day after LASIK laser eye surgery.
4. Recovery is quick and usually no bandages or stitches are required after LASIK laser eye surgery.
